In the middle of the show, he suddenly stood up, adjusted his clothes, and then walked towards his wife. She looked up at him as he approached.
"What's wrong now?" she asked.
"Dear, it's the company. We have an urgent meeting," he replied.
"Then go and talk to Dad, even if it's late. We need to discuss this as soon as possible," she urged.
"Alright, but let me go quickly. I know Dad, and we'll only need about 15 minutes for the discussion. Besides, your condition is at six months, but from the way I'm feeling, you wouldn't even notice," he reassured her.
With that, he hurriedly left the room, murmuring to himself, "Every day you say the same thing, may Allah protect you."
As he made his way out, he heard his wife's voice behind him, calling out, "Brother, I won't stay here for long, will I?"
Turning back, he embraced her affectionately. "Good morning, little sister. I'll be back to talk to you," he replied.
Hastening his steps, he rushed out, not wanting to be late. He checked his watch and realized he had about five minutes left before the African time set in. With determination, he picked up pace, eager to reach his destination.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of screeching brakes followed by a loud thud, causing him to turn around. In a moment of panic, he rushed back to see a man lying on the ground, hit by a car.
In a flurry of activity and amidst the chaos of the scene, he approached, taking off his jacket and using it to cover the man. He then took out his handkerchief and wiped the blood from the man's face, showing him respect.
As the ambulance arrived and the injured man was taken away, he stood there, reflecting on the fragility of life. The world could change in an instant, he realized, and everyone was vulnerable to unforeseen circumstances.
