Description

In a humble but beautiful house in the countryside, filled with wise elders and religious values, a group of Almajirai (young Quranic students) play joyfully in the sand near the big compound. Women go in and out of the house, carrying food, while elders gather under a tree reading the Qur’an. In their midst sits a well-dressed, elderly Fulani man with glasses, reading aloud — beside him is someone who looks just like him, but younger, holding a wooden Qur’anic tablet.

Suddenly, a joyful woman runs out of the house, shouting happily — the babies have arrived safely! She calls to the elders who immediately thank Allah with smiles and warm handshakes. Malam Idi and his brother Malam Nata’ala express great joy and gratitude to God.

Though the house belongs to them, they still ask for permission before entering — out of respect for the women inside. This reflects the humility and values of the family. The women had been attending to the newborns, who were born minutes apart — like twins.

Food, drinks, and sweets are shared among the children and visitors. Even special drinks like zobo and fried meat (tsire) are brought by Lawujo, a helper. Malam Idi and Malam Nata’ala both personally feed their wives and admire their newborn daughters, Zaytuna and Rumana, blessing them and praying over them with love.

As night falls, the families quietly settle in, full of joy. Despite their modest background, the unity, respect, and kindness in this home reflect true wealth. Life moves on, the babies are named, and joy fills the air — proving that peace, faith, and love make a home truly rich.
